Cultural And Linguistic Interconnections: Understanding Language Development In Reader Communities
Keywords:
Language Development, Cultural Change, Reader CommunitiesAbstract
The aims of this research was to examine the interrelationship between cultural change and language development as well as to analyze the role of reader communities in shaping, adapting, and preserving language in the modern era. This study employed a qualitative descriptive research design involving literature-based data obtained from scholarly articles, books, and previous studies published within the last five years. Data were analyzed through content analysis to identify theoretical patterns, empirical findings, and conceptual linkages regarding the influence of cultural transformation on linguistic evolution and the contribution of reader communities as active agents of language mediation. The findings indicate that cultural transformations driven by globalization, technological advancement, and cross-cultural interaction significantly influence linguistic change, including the emergence of new vocabulary, semantic shifts, and hybrid linguistic expressions. In addition, reader communities play a strategic role in mediating language development by disseminating new terms, shaping subcultural linguistic identities, and supporting the preservation of local linguistic and cultural values.
